Graffiti
It really feels weird to post a portraiture series of myself. Ussually behind the lense, this time i decided to entertain my friends and became a model instead. This is when i realized that being a model is so much harder than being the photographer. Being a photographer, you just have to direct the model on the poses and take a few shots from different angles then you are done! Can step aside and rest while waiting for other fellow photographers to complete their shots. Being a model is real torture.You have to hold your pose under the scorching sun waiting for each photographers to take their turn! I really felt like i was a BBQ chicken instead of an elegant model hahaha…

It was raining persistently on the day of the photoshoot and we almost called it off. However, thanks to our determined teammates, we still went through with it despite the gloomy-after-rain weather. Lighting was bad especially for the indoor photos. It was indeed a challenging photoshoot for our team due to the lack of lighting equipment. However, numerous great shots still manage to pull through. Check it out….
The Birth of Imagenation Photography
Imagenation Photography is a group of photography enthusiasts from the beautiful island of Penang, conceived with the aim to share, learn & practise together. The group has its first photoshoot in March’09 and has not been looking back since.
We believe that photography is an art and the easiest way to improve is through sharing & constructive comments. This blog therefore provides us an avenue to learn & to discuss the group’s activities.
With the tagline “Capturing moments with a twist of creativity”, we are available for potrait photography, pre-wedding photography & wedding photography at a nominal fee. We aspire to eventually take our hobby to a greater height!
Who’s who of Imagenation Photography:
- YN – Started dabbling into photography in 1996 on film SLR before a long break, he has an eye for distinct, tasteful & creative photography. YN believes that composition is the key to a great photo. Loves photographing people by linking moments & emotions, he is currently shooting on the Nikon D90.
- Nag – Influenced into the world of photography by friends towards the end of 2008, he has been photo shooting enthusiastically since. The only Canon user in the group, Nag shoots on a EOS 450D. He is particularly fond of shooting portraits.
- Wilson – Started his journey into the realm of photography at end of 2008, he has a diversify interests in photography. He often catches the right shot at the right moment & his panoramic shots are often spectacular. Capturing images on a Nikon D60, few of his shots were selected for a recent public photography exhibition.
- Mayleng – First introduced to the world of digital SLR in early 2009, she has been shooting on a “borrowed” Nikon D70. Until recently, she purchased her first ever lens and has been loving it. Mayleng is an avid learner with creative skills in photo editing & layout design. Her interests are mainly on landscape & still life photography.
- Alyssa – A devoted photography fan and is never seen without her Canon digital camera. She one day dreams of owning her own SLR to widen her photography horizon.
Imagenation Photography
